Comments about AquaStar (Hydro) Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater:
Not happy with this product at all. Took forever for the professionals to install and it still doesn't work right. I will never buy one again. Wish I hadn't bought this one. Very disgusted and disappointed with this product. I live on a tight budget and cannot afford to replace it. Sure wish I would have just bought a regular hot water heater!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about AquaStar (Hydro) Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater:
Bought it in Dec. 2009. It worked very well for the cold and cooler weather. But when the hot weather hit, the heater would kick off a minute or so into a shower, just enough time to get shampoo in my hair. Cold water all of a sudden was quite rude! I questioned the plumber who installed it who also has one and he couldn't understand why it was doing that. Maybe not enough water flow? Changed the whole house water filter. Took out the water saver in the shower head. Still shut off. As it turns out, the temperature of the city water was the problem. From the tap during the hot summer the water is quite warm. So adjusting the water flow and the flame fixed the problem. The plumber didn't have the problem as he was on well water. Having read other reviews describing very similar problems that I was experiencing, I hope they read this. It just might help! May I also suggest marking the winter and summer settings on the heater for quick adjustments twice a year. I am very happy with the water heater.
It made a noticeable difference in my gas bill, too.

Ignition is way too sensitive in lighting pilot. The very slightest variation will cause no ignition and then no hot water.

This is the second unit I have installed in my houses... I intend to purchase another for my new home I just purchased. Well worth it and a great idea. only downside is that you have to wait an additional 5 seconds for hot water, but the savings is worth the wait.

Comments about AquaStar (Hydro) Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater:
This is my second my first lasted 13 years. The only thing that went wrong with it was it got pluged up.Ilike not having a pilot light and having the water flow control. The only thing I have a problem with is the way the ocver fits and the control knobs tend to fall off.
